Purpose 
      The Maryland Family Values Alliance Home Page is a non-partisan one-stop information source for Maryland citizens seeking the return and maintenance of traditional family values at national, state, and local levels.  We understand that good parents have very little time available and would much rather spend any time they do have with their family than shaping the society their children confront.  Our goal is to enable you to make this state and nation  a better place for our children in just 30 minutes a week.  Information is formatted and draft correspondence is provided to facilitate this goal.  If you don't do it for your own children, grandchildren, nieces, or nephews, why would you expect anyone else to?   The MDFVA is strictly focused on issues and principles.  "Principle before Party"  

Truth Driven
     This Home Page was created and is maintained with the intent to present truth.  At a minimum, it is provided as an alternative to the liberal left wing indoctrination thrust upon the American public by national magazines, the major television networks, public broadcast networks, Hollywood, our public schools, many local Maryland newspapers, and the Washington Post.   Contrary to the underlying tenants of these media, truth is not relative.  It needs no embellishment and cannot be redefined upon demand!

"Evil triumphs when good men do nothing"  
     Except for what is presented in the Bible, truer words have yet to be written.  In this busy, self absorbed, never-have-a-minute, culture we live in, where  government attempts to be all things for all people, it is easy to think that someone else will do whatever needs to be done.....that we don't need to get involved.  Nothing is farther from the truth.  There is a war taking place, a culture war, a war for the hearts, souls, and minds of our children, our next generation.   It is fair to say that this war is being fought on every front, spiritual, political, commercial, and legal.  The vehicles we have available to win this war are prayer, the political process, the boycott, and the court system.  There are myriads  of other home pages that focus on prayer.  The MDFVA home pages focus on the political process, the boycott, and the court system..  Besides prayer, the MDFVA advocates and supports a four pronged approach to reclaiming America:

1.  Bring the truth to light to friends, family, neighbors, the public, elected officials, and to businesses.  Expose the liberal arguments for what they are, twisted half truths and outright lies.  The truth will set us free!

2.  Elect family-values-based people to political office.  It is significantly more effective and less time consuming than trying to convince left wing liberal, politically correct politicians to compromise on even the smallest of issues.

3.  Boycott businesses that support liberal positions and organizations.  Until they feel the dollar pinch, any unprincipled dollar-driven business will buckle under politically correct pressure.  

4.  Remove political activism from our court rooms!   Liberal politicians have filled our court system with activist judges seeking to further their political agendas.  In many of our courts, it is these agendas, not the law, that determines the outcomes of court cases.  We need to expose activists judges wherever they are found, impeach them when we can, support those organizations that represent our views in the court room, and elect officials who will appoint objective judges to the bench.

The Maryland Family Values Alliance will provide you with the tools to effectively help accomplish these objectives.

Unsupported Conviction Holds No Water 
     If we are unwilling to suffer even a few inconveniences for our convictions, or are too afraid to express politically incorrect truth in our day-to-day discussions, can we truthfully say we have convictions?  Convictions are what make us who we are.  If we have no convictions or fail to support the ones we have, we are hollow.  Without conviction, there are no warriors.  Without warriors, no cause succeeds.    

Time to reclaim our American heritage
     Someone said that if anyone refuses to support one position or another, by their silence, they support the side that has the momentum. At this stage in American history, it is the liberal left wing elitists who control most of our institutions and have the momentum.  We need to reclaim these institutions.  The MDFVA home pages are intended to help do just that.

Volunteers Needed
     The only way this site will be publicized is via your spreading its existence word-of-mouth or via E-mail, one family values advocate to the next. This is our bulletin board, per se. We need help in keeping it current. If you are interested, as a citizen, in keeping the news, events, school board information, or elected official information for any of these pages current, particularly for a county, please E-mail MDFVA. 

Scheduled Updates
     The intent of the MDFVA is to update these pages weekly.  They are generally updated over the weekend and available for review on Monday morning.  To put yourself on the MDFVA mailing list for immediate notification after this newsletter has been published or to be advised of late breaking news, click here to E-mail your request.  On occasion, a major local issue will surface that requires the undivided attention of the MDFVA staff.  On those occasions, please bear with us during that time, and know that we will return to maintaining these home pages eventually.
