Defending Marriage in Maryland

Our God is at work

Dear Friends,

Once again it is clear that God’s army is rising. Pastors from across the state are beginning to come together to Stand with us as we prepare to defend traditional marriage in Maryland.  If your pastor has not joined us it may be because he or she does not know Maryland marriage is under attack. Please inform your pastors and ask them to join us at one of the two Pastoral meetings listed below.

At each of the two meetings, there will be a brief film followed by an address where I will present why Maryland and its Churches must Stand against the legalization of Same Sex Marriage in Maryland.  I will explain specifically what we need the Pastors and members of the church to do. We have a plan and we are serious that this must be stopped in Maryland before it’s too late.

We must keep in mind; this is not a civil rights issue.  The courts have no right deciding this issue. The people of the State of Maryland are being robbed from the right to have their voices heard through the legislative process.  However, if we gather together and plan our strategies well, on January 27th our legislators in Annapolis will hear from the church - and in every election after they will hear from the church.

This issue is like a plague, that left untreated and unaddressed, will spread throughout this state and will affect all of us. We must stand up now and let our voice be heard and define what marriage really is according to God¹s plan.  Don¹t miss this next meeting.  We will make a difference.

I am grateful to Mr. David Lee (Executive Director of the Baptist Convention of Maryland/Delaware) for inviting me to attend and speak to the members of the Baptist convention on Nov. 14th and 15th. I will briefly explain the crisis that Maryland faces and invite every Pastor and Elder to join us on Nov. 18th as we meet in White Marsh. Please pray that God will give me the words to invoke action from the church. We can have an affect if the church will unite together on this most important issue.

The 2005 March for Life will be held on Monday, January 24th.  Usually it's on the 22nd, but it was moved to the 24th since it would fall on a Saturday.

I do have to say the "women's march" did a good job with color coordination and their neon pink really stood out.  Since the March for Life symbol is the red rose, then I'd like to propose that we wear red.  Preferably something with red roses (for the ladies).

The president's victory was a bitter pill for his opponents to swallow, as illustrated by the following remarks, tinged with bitterness, by a columnist for the liberal Village Voice: "The dream of a secular, liberal democracy is lost: Christians are stronger than ever, and whether it's true or not, the spin will be that they played a key role in building the Bush base.  The visceral, cutting edge of the Bush mandate is the attack on same-sex marriage, led by the Christian right."

 Perhaps the biggest pro-family winner, however, when all the votes were counted was traditional marriage.

Ten of the 11 states amending their constitutions to ban Massachusetts-style gay marriage did so by overwhelming margins.

"Clearly, the people of this country have had the opportunity to speak and have spoken overwhelmingly in favor of marriage," Family Research Council President Tony Perkins said.

"Yesterday's vote reveals once again the broad support for protecting marriage among the American people.  We've seen reports with passage in Ohio with 62%, Mississippi with 86%, Kentucky 75%, Michigan 59%.  The people aren't waiting for the politicians to act to reign in activist judges who have no regard for the rule of law.  The courts gave us abortion on demand in 1973, the American people stated today that they are not going to allow the courts to do the same by imposing same-sex 'marriage' on the people of this country.

"Almost a dozen and a half states have now refused to hold their peace and have spoken loudly against the effort of judges to force same-sex 'marriage' on them. However, the next Congress must pass a Marriage Protection Amendment to ensure that yesterday's overwhelming vote is not overturned by unelected federal judges."

Former presidential candidate Gary Bauer said Bush will wind up winning the election. He also attributed the victory to high turnout, which in some states exceeded 70 percent. It was especially high among evangelicals, Bauer said.

"If the president wins, I think what won it was certainly not his first debate, which was, by all accounts, terrible," Bauer said. "It wasn't the Iraq war, which continues to split the country right down the middle. I think what won it was there was a perceived and real difference between the president and John Kerry on issues of the heart."

Bauer added: "Voters who care about unborn children, and who care about the defense of marriage, who care about religious liberty showed up in record numbers, and they have given the president four more years."

Black family pamphlet

Attached is a new pamphlet that shows how black families are being injured by abortion.
The first distribution approach of the pamphlet will be to offer it free to black pastors for their congregations.

Anyone receiving this email can request and receive a supply of these pamphlets free if they will be distributed to black people.  The pamphlets cost 7 cents to print so anyone wishing to make a tax-deductible donation toward the printing of more of these pamphlets can send a check to the address on the pamphlet. If anyone wishes to sponsor a black congregation they are certainly welcome to do so.

We hope you will consider the information provided in this letter and rethink contributing to Planned Parenthood. Warren Buffett stopped corporate contributions to PP and so have 110 other corporations. Your corporation's fine reputation should not be jeopardized by helping to
fund the anti-social behavior of PP described below.

Life Dynamics, Inc., (LDI) of Denton, Texas suspected that Planned Parenthood (PP) and other abortion providers were not reporting the statutory rape of young girls seeking abortion. They conducted a telephone survey of PP facilities in states where it is legal to record telephone conversations. The evidence showed that over 90% of the time PP personnel told young girls they would cover up their sexual abuse by adult males.

A copy of a statement from LDI regarding this activity is attached for your convenience. It can also be found at the LDI web site, www.lifedynamics.com/index.cfm. From that web site you can link to http://traditionalvalues.org/1/pph/index2.php to hear tape recordings of conversations in which PP personnel encourage concealing the sexual exploitation of young girls. An enclosed booklet, Child Predators, provides additional information on this abuse of minors.

As late as the 1960's PP was publicly opposed to abortion, but since the 1973 Roe v. Wade and Doe v. Bolton Supreme Court decisions decriminalizing abortion throughout pregnancy, abortion has become a major part of PP's business. The PP Annual Report for 2003 shows 93% of pregnancy clients were there for abortions and only 7% were for prenatal care. They performed 116 abortions for every adoption referral.

Their total revenue was $776.6 million and $254.4 million was from government grants and $273 million was from Title X, family planning programs.

PP has a web site, www.teenwire.com, which seeks to separate teens from their parents and regales them with titillating material encouraging sexual activity. PP fights every attempt to require them to inform parents if their minor daughter has an abortion. PP also fights every
attempt to inform women of the medical and psychological risks of abortion surgery, and even fights against medical standards for abortion facilities to protect women.

PP knows well that contraceptives have a high failure rate for teens (pregnancy occurs) and that condoms do not prevent viral sexually transmitted diseases, yet they promote them to teens which increases the pressure for teens to engage in sexual activity. The CDC released a report which recommends abstinence as the only way to prevent contracting the cervical cancer causing STD, Human Papilloma Virus.

The National Campaign to Prevent Teen Pregnancy (NCPTP) in an April 2001 report said teens can't manage a contraceptive regime, "Remaining abstinent is a tough challenge but using contraception carefully and consistently is an equally tall order, because most contraceptive methods require both motivation and a constancy of attention and action that are difficult for even married adults to maintain let alone teenagers."

Dr. Meg Meeker in her book, Epidemic - How Teen Sex Is Killing Our Kids, says there are at least 25 epidemics of different STDs. She previously prescribed oral contraceptives and condoms for teens before she realized the degree of the STD epidemics. She describes the STDs teens carry this way: "Picture a football stadium filed with teenagers. One out of five of those cheering kids has herpes (at least, that we know of). [Meaning that there are many more asymtomatic infections.] Every third girl in the stands has HPV, and one out of ten has chlamydia. If we pulled all the healthy kids out of there, leaving just those infected with an STD, the stadium would be nearly half full."

Dr. Meeker continues: "As you will see … condoms do little to prevent many viral infections spread by skin-to-skin contact, especially HPV and herpes. We've talked for decades about 'safe sex' and while condoms are somewhat effective at birth control, when it comes to STDs, the best they can do is reduce the risk of infection. And the risk reduction…is minimal and in some cases nonexistent."

PP's refusal to report teen sex abuse, enticing teens into sexual activity, refusing to warn teens of the pregnancy and STD risks of sexual activity, refusing to let parents know of teens' abortions and refusing to inform women of the risks of abortion and their fighting standards indicate their actions are designed to boost their abortion profits. PP targets poor black women, concentrating 78% of their abortion facilities in black neighborhoods. Not a very complimentary commentary.

Again, we urge you to look at the information in this letter and rethink your support of Planned Parenthood, along with 105 other corporations who stopped contributing to PP when they learned more about their operations. Your corporation's fine reputation should not be jeopardized by helping to fund the anti-social behavior of PP described below.

Please help to improve the moral climate in our country and protect children by ceasing your contributions to Planned Parenthood.

Abortion & Child Abuse Caught on Tape - Planned Parenthood & NAF conceal child abuse

Planned Parenthood clinics, National Abortion Federation clinics and others in the abortion clinic business make their money by selling abortions, birth control pills, pregnancy tests and treatments for sexually transmitted diseases. But in order to increase their sales to minors, they have been ignoring child abuse reporting laws and promising to conceal statutory rape and ongoing child sexual assault.

We have over 800 tape recordings that show how Planned Parenthood and NAF abortion workers secure business from victims of statutory rape by undermining parental authority, encouraging children to lie and promising minors that their employees will ignore mandatory reporting laws.

Hundreds of Planned Parenthood clinic and National Abortion Federation clinic employees have been caught on tape expressing their willingness to conceal the statutory rape of a 13-year-old girl by a 22-year-old man. Even though many of these Planned Parenthood and NAF employees openly acknowledged that statutory rape is a crime and that they are required by law to report it, they made it clear that they do not abide by the law.

The evidence on these tapes indicates that it is the policy and practice of these Planned Parenthood clinics to ignore mandatory reporting laws. Abortion clinics profit by selling clandestine abortions to children, so clearly clinic operators like Planned Parenthood and the National Abortion Federation have decided that the welfare of children must be sacrificed for the sake of clinic profits.

If our statements weren't true, Planned Parenthood would sue!

Planned Parenthood & the National Abortion Federation routinely profit off the sexual exploitation of underage girls by selling products and services that help the perpetrators of child abuse and statutory rape conceal their crimes. Because it is true, we can say this without fear of
being sued for business defamation.

All across America, clinics run by Planned Parenthood and NAF have demonstrated that they will knowingly help to cover-up the statutory rape of a 13-year-old girl by a 22-year-old man. Many times clinic employees will even give a minor advice on how to protect the man who is committing this abuse from being discovered by law enforcement. Of course, Planned
Parenthood and other abortion clinic operators realize that if they help men to conceal their sexual abuse of underage girls, then those men will gladly continue to pay for the services that the clinics want to sell to their underage victims.
 
 

While ignoring the mandatory reporting laws in order to turn underage girls into customers is surely profitable for Planned Parenthood, it's still illegal. These laws were enacted to help law enforcement catch adults who have sex with children. However, abortion clinics benefit from
adult men having sex with underage girls, because the ongoing sexual abuse of minors produces customers for future sales.

Planned Parenthood and other abortion clinics that protect the men who prey on underage girls must be stopped. We will press for criminal prosecutions against abortion workers that help adult sexual predators to evade detection and we will work to encourage the victims of this practice to pursue civil lawsuits against these clinics.
